Sliding, skiing, snow forts, snowball fights, in short, winter is the right season for the children from the village under the Šibeničák hill to have fun. Their leader has always been Zrzek, the son of the local undertaker. But then Myšák, whose father had become the chairman of the agricultural cooperative, moved into the village, and he pulled all the boys to his side, especially because he could take the boys on the horses his father sometimes lent him. Proud Zrzek left the group rather than submit to Myshak. Only his friend Barbora remained faithful to him, helping him catch birds, especially the proverbial black raven.

Sergeant John Mackenzie is flying to Russia from the United States under the professional exchange program. The American not only becomes the partner of investigator Vasilisa Vikhreva, but also temporarily settles in her apartment. It's hard for John and Vasilisa to work together — the difference in characters and mentalities affects. But the successful results of joint investigations convince the leadership to create a special department around them to combat crimes committed by foreigners and against foreigners in Russia. Unraveling one case after another, the partners find themselves embroiled in an international espionage game around a major scientific discovery.

The young generation is not very at peace with the morality of their parents. In a story set in a Moravian village, the otherwise contented cooperators indulge in stealing from the common property without seeing anything wrong with such actions. After being reprimanded by their own children, they first get angry but then become ashamed. The result is a late agitational comedy that no longer deals with the peasants' entry into the agricultural cooperative, but with the mores prevailing there. The ideologically mature youth act as a guarantee of a happy future.

The screenplay is based on an authentic story of a robbery of a branch of the National Bank of Poland in Wolow. The thing took place in 1962, 12 million zlotys were stolen. For some time the perpetrators remained at large. Soon, however, the police came across their trail and the criminals were soon captured. And then the real bomb went off. It turned out that the thieves were not people listed in the police annals or even in contact with the criminal world. All the robbers had a reputation as "respectable citizens", by no means suffering from a lack of cash.
